Wireless Technologies for Micro Medical Sensors
With the proliferation of advanced microfabrication techniques (e.g. MEMS, CMOS, MMIC), the integration of advanced RF and digital circuits with microsensors targeting a wide range of biomedical applications has become a reality. Wireless transmission of micro sensor data both in vivo and ex vivo at low and high data rates has opened a plethora of new technologies for medical purposes for applications including orthopedics, nuerology, early disease detection, etc. The integration of micro sensors and wireless technologies is a key component to the realization of these technologies and has sparked rigorous innovation in this area.
