Welcome to the WiSNet 2013!

Sensors and sensor networks are critical components for manufacturing, structural health, security monitoring, transportation, and location tracking systems. WiSNet 2013 will be held as a part of the Radio Wireless Week to focus on the latest developments in the area of RF Sensors and Sensor Networks. Papers featuring innovative work are solicited in (but not limited to) the following areas of wireless sensor systems:

  • Wireless sensors For Communication, Radar, Positioning and Imaging Applications
  • Wireless sensors for Localization, tracking, and RFID technologies
  • Wireless integrated sensors, front-ends, and building blocks
  • Wireless sensors for harsh environments
  • Wireless Sensors Networks and Smart Sensor Systems
  • Sensor networks for environmental, health, home and commercial applications
  • Sensor network topologies
  • Sensor network communication architecture

The 2013 IEEE Topical Conference on Wireless Sensors and Sensor Networks (WiSNet2013) will be a part of 2013 IEEE Radio and Wireless Week (RWW2013) which will be held the week of January 20, 2013 in Austin, TX. RWW2013 will also feature the 2013 IEEE Radio and Wireless Symposium (RWS2013), Topical Meeting on Silicon Monolithic Integrated Circuits in RF Systems (SiRF2013), 2013 IEEE Topical Conference on Biomedical Wireless Technologies, Networks, & Sensing Systems (BioWireleSS2013) and 2013 IEEE Topical Conference on RF Power Amplifiers for Wireless and Radio Applications (PAWR2013). Each of these events will be organized separately.

The aim of WiSNet is to link the focuses of IEEE MTT and IEEE ComSoc in a unique way. Submissions are evaluated based on novelty, significance of the work, technical content, interest to the audience, and presentation. Be an active part of this event! We are looking forward to your submission! The submission deadline for your paper with up to three pages is July 30th, 2012. All accepted papers will be published in a digest and be included in IEEE Xplore
