mMIMO beamforming for 5G and beyond in Industry

Abstract

New wireless communication systems are needed to cope with the exponentially growing of data in current networks. 5G mobile communication networks exploit massive MIMO and beamforming techniques as key ingredients to increase the spectral density and thus capacity compared to previous network generations. This session will present the recent development of practical massive MIMO systems and their test results and their expansion to the 6G system. Practical implementation examples will include indoor/outdoor distributed massive MIMO, and Full Dimension massive MIMO will be presented by industry leaders. A 40-minute mini panel session after the presentations will provide answers to plenty of open questions with speakers.
